Although standard pre-arranged vacations continue to be the most common selection, research shows that about one-fifth of young adults rely on artificial intelligence like virtual planners for holiday suggestions.
In contrast, under three percent of seniors use AI as a source for holiday ideas.
In general, 25% of UK residents persist in opt for traditional brochures when organizing their holidays.
Rising Confidence in Virtual Helpers
The travel association expect the adoption of artificial intelligence to increase sharply in the coming years.
Almost 40% of respondents said they would be confident to trust an virtual helper to arrange their trips completely.

Research presented at a recently held industry event indicated that the proportion of British people taking a holiday in the past year has practically returned to pre-Covid levels.
About the vast majority of respondents polled took a holiday either at home or abroad last year.
A growing proportion of individuals mentioned a vacation as the primary discretionary spend, ranking above leisure, electronics, and other leisure activities, including during challenging financial periods.
Artificial Intelligence Usage Doubles
Research done in recent months revealed that significantly more individuals are utilizing AI for holiday planning compared to last year.
Currently, eight percent of those surveyed reported they use AI for inspiration, increasing from a smaller percentage in 2024.
Younger Tourists and Wellness
Research further found that young adults were more inclined to view a vacation as "crucial for their wellness".
A significant 90% of these individuals shared this perspective, versus the eighty percent general average.
Eco-Friendly Commitments
Younger tourists were also more inclined to select a brand, lodging, or location based on its sustainability efforts.
Roughly 20% of 25- to 34-year-olds prioritized environmental factors, versus one in ten overall.
Questioning Regarding Green Assertions
Some industry figures voiced scepticism about such statements.
Everyone aims to be more eco-friendly – yet if it’s more expensive, they tend to hesitate about it.
Nevertheless, the same leader commented that young travellers "appear to be much more responsible and mindful of wellbeing than when I was young".
